About the Author

Sana Raza Hussain recently graduated from Texas State University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling – Marriage, Couple, & Family Counseling (MCFC) Track. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with her Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Psychology, Sana pursued a career as an actuary for nearly five years in the health and life insurance industries. After realizing the corporate world wasn’t for her, she switched to the mental health field with the primary goal of working with individuals and couples as a therapist. Sana is passionate about mental health, wellness, and advocating for social justice. In her leisure time, she enjoys lifting weights, reading, and spending time with her husband. 

As of June 2022, Sana is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), an LMFT-Associate, and an LPC-Associate in the state of Texas, supervised by Susan Gonzales, LPC-S, LMFT-S.
